Three And Out – Did You Know

Did you know:

espn-airforce

–          ESPN and the Air Force have joined forces to analyze video surveillance footage.

–          A lot has been said, and deservedly so, about both Adrian Peterson, RGIII, having record setting years; but did you know Jamaal Charles  has quietly been doing the same thing?

He is on pace to have a career year and currently has a 5.7 career yards/carry average, which surpasses Hall of Famer Jim Brown (5.22) for the best average in NFL history for backs with at least 700 carries.

AP has a 5.1 career average.

–          The NY Jets lead the league with most fake followers on social media.

That’s OK, I’m sure they are also the biggest imitators of a professional sports team too!

Three And Out – Week 4

1)  Larry Brown tweeting about RG3 and Billy Cundiff . . .

larry brown comments on billy cudiff field goals - let RG3 kick em.

2)  It sure was nice to see Tony Romo spreading the ball around to multiple targets on Monday Night Football!  – HTTR!

3)  Rex Ryan is still Dreaming . . .

RE: Revis:

“Let’s see what happens when he goes through surgery because there’s that 0.0002 percent chance that he could play in the Super Bowl or something, so why would you take that option away from him?”

“Let’s just put it this way: My thought is, if you’re fortunate enough to make it to that big game and he’s fortunate enough to be healthy,” Ryan said, “I know our fans will want him playing just like I would want him playing.”

Hey Rex, How’s that Super Bowl Prediction looking now after the 49ers game?

Three And Out – NFL Football Predictions

Every year there are NFL playoff caliber teams, heck even championship caliber teams, knocked out of the postseason.

And every year there are teams which somehow, amazingly, turn it around and make it in.

After extensive study, analysis of facts and figures, and a truly “Satori-Zen” moment, I have come up with the enlightened Fantasy and Bookies nightmare list called The Fumbled Returns 2012 NFL Playoff Predictions.

Three Teams That Make It Into The Playoffs:

  • Kansas City Chiefs (guess who has a stellar comeback year!  They will be calling this “Charles in Charge”)
  • Oakland Raiders (Darren McFadden finally shakes off the “injury” label )
  • Washington Redskins (people amazingly stay healthy, RG3 gets it just in time to save the season and the RB by committee actually works)

Three Teams That Don’t Make It Into The Playoffs:

  • Baltimore Ravens (Gee all this takes is Rice getting hurt and or Flacco not having a contract breakout year – take your pick)
  • Denver Broncos (not even Peyton can overcome this schedule and falls just one game short)
  • NY Giants (sorry, everyone has their number this year)

Here are my predictions for the entire 2012 Playoff Teams:

AFC – East New England Patriots

AFC – North Cincinnati Bengals

AFC – North Pittsburgh Steelers

AFC – South Houston Texans

AFC – West Kansas City Chiefs

AFC – West Oakland Raiders

NFC – East Washington Redskins

NFC – North Green Bay Packers

NFC – North Detroit Lions

NFC – South Atlanta Falcons

NFC – South N.O. Saints

NFC – West San Francisco 49ers

Three and Out – For The Week Of July 27

  1. 10,000 Olympians, 20,000 Journalists, at least 1.5 million extra tourists, and only 1700 ATM’s near Olympic Venues . . .  Hmmm what’s in your wallet?  Better bring cash (AKA – British Pounds) and keep it safe.
  2. Heading into the Opening Ceremony, Twitter is already seeing more Tweets about the Olympics in a SINGLE DAY than during the ENTIRE Beijing games in 2008.  You can follow all Olympic happenings on twitter here .
  3. And speaking of twitter, I posted a Chris Cooley Training Camp quote from the Washington Post.  Just to keep things in perspective . . .

HTTR!

And Go USA!

Cheers

Three And Out For June 9th 2012

Professional Sports Returns To Kansas City: Kansas City hosts the MLB All Star Game Tuesday June 10, 2012.

  • Not since 1985 World Series has there been this much professional sports talent in Kansas City for any sport! Enjoy it while it lasts. . .

This Recession Will Last 7 years: According to latest research; when a recession is accompanied along with a financial crisis, it lasts – on average – as long as the preceding economic boom.

  • The good news, we are half way through the slump!

Get Paid For Just Showing Up: Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods missed the cut at the Greenbrier Classic Golf Tournament this past weekend.

  • They still got paid $1 Million and $1.5 Million in “appearance fees” by the tournament sponsors. Not bad for playing 2 days of golf.
