Grammy Red Carpet: How Can They Give Katy Perry An F

That is not even her cup size!

Yes, she obviously did not follow the dress code memo but, does she really deserve an F?

I took a look at some of the other Red Carpet Fashion pictures and have determined that the media is unfair in their judgement of poor Katy.

Lets Compare:

Katie Perry vs Ashanti:

Katy Perry vs Kelly Rowland:

Katie Perry vs Miranda Lambert:

But There were fashion violations beyond the cleavage rule.  For instance:

Katy Perry vs Florence Welch:

And . .

Katy Perry vs Dave Groyl Wife’s Dress:

But, that is no where near the worst of it. . .

Katy Perry vs Adele:

And . . .

Last but certainly not least . . .

Katy Perry vs Kate Peirson:

And to add yet some more credibility to Katy’s Dress, I’ve been told that “green” in the “in” color this year.

Obviously Jack Black agrees.  (notice the shoes)

The Dress Code Memo had some pretty specific terminology regarding what was appropriate and what was not.  Obviously, some stars followed this dress code and others did not.

But, since this is a sports blog, it would be negligent of me if I did not apply this dress code to the NFL.

Lets see how this applies.

Quote #1:

Please be sure that buttocks and breasts are adequately covered.

Terrence Cody at the NFL Combine does not pass the test.

Perhaps he needs the proper fashion cover-up. . .

Quote #2:

Thong type costumes are problematic. Please avoid exposing bare flesh under curves of the buttocks and buttock crack.

And perhaps the most flagrant violation courtesy Detroit Lions :

Lions-Jock--600x399

Yet, even this too can be fixed. . .

Sort of . . .

Oh, and we certainly can not forget about the lovely cheerleaders:

With a little help from Kate Pierson’s wardrobe, we can attempt to fix this right up . . .

And just to prove that I have an unhealthy fascination with Katy Perry, there were others who rocked the Red Carpet too!

Carrie Underwood gets an A+ in my book.

And Penny does not get a “C” EVER !!!

So, what did you think of the memo, the Red Carpet, and the fashion malfunctions?

Kids Today

When I was growing up, lots of kids had nicknames and lots of kids had idols.
It gives you an identity, an ideal, a role model to emulate.

It can even be a way of trash talking and taunting in a clever sort of way or even describing your style.

I understand this.

There were your “Dukes”, “Mean Joes”, your “Hogs”.

Now, we have a kid on my sons Junior Falcons team whos nickname is Katy.

Why?

Because he dances around on the field singing “You think I’m pretty without any make-up on”

I have to admit that it is kinda funny seeing someone in full football gear dancing around singing this in between plays. Especially since he is one of the smallest, yet fastest players on the team, and nobody can catch him.

I just wish he had a different role model…
