Redskins Trade RGIII For Jay Cutler !

The Washington Redskins have traded RGIII, Leonard Hankerson and a 2nd round draft pick to the Chicago Bears for Jay Cutler and Brandon Marshall !!!

Apparently, after the recent rift and public shot at “other parties” in the organization by RGIII regarding his season ending knee injury; the Redskins are tired of a QB unnecessarily taking risks and blaming others for their decision making capability.

RGIII:

My first NFL season and my injury that ended it showed me a lot about the league, my team and myself.

I know where my responsibility is within the dilemma that led to me having surgery to repair my knee and all parties involved know their responsibilities as well.

Cutler brings with him a wealth of experience of properly avoiding further injury and risking his career. And although he has been the butt of a lot of motivational jokes and accused of not being the best team player, he does have Mike Shanahan complete confidence.

Jay Cutler :

I have played this game a long time and know when I am hurt and when I am not, when I can play and when I can’t.  I want to have a long NFL career and if that means I have to sit on the bench, then so be it.

Mike Shanahan:

He (Jay) is a Pro Bowl player; has a good supporting cast around him and has always been “A worker”; very smart; handles himself like you want. I think he is just getting better and better.  I like the way he competes. I like him on a day-in, day-out basis. I think people will see his personality in time, and hopefully it’s a short time before we all can see him build on our success of last year.

This trade reunites Coach Shanahan with Jay Cutler and Brandon Marshall and gives all of them a chance to rekindle past success and future championship dreams for all Redskins and Bears Fans a like.

HTTR !!!

What If . . .

The game of football is filled with what if’s and if only’s. If this or, if not this, then; or here, we would have won or gotten into the playoffs or been a hero instead of goat.

This year proved to have it’s fair share.

What if:

The Chargers were about to kick the game-winning field goal with less than a minute to go against the Chiefs. As it turns out, this win would have propelled them into the playoffs.

And then Rivers fumbled, the game went into OT, and the Chargers lost a game they would have won if Rivers simply held onto the pigskin.

What if:

Mark Sanchez would grow a pair . . .

And be the stud QB he thinks he is.

The AFC Wild Card race was a gigantic mess. But in the end, New York would be in if they beat the Giants and Dolphins the last two weeks.  Last week, the Jets were driving down 16-10 late in the game when Sanchez threw a pick at the Dolphins 10 yard line.  If they can score there, and hold on for a 17-16, they’re in.

Not exactly One Play Away, but still close.

What if:

The Cowboys Kicker was not susceptible to the cold. . .

Jason Garrett drew the scorn of Cowboys fans everywhere when he managed to ice his own kicker against the Cardinals.  But one week later, it was Giants coach Tom Coughlin who iced the Cowboy’s Dan Bailey.

Bailey seemingly sent the game to OT and gave the Cowboys another chance to clinch the NFC East crown. But it turned out Coughlin had called a timeout, and he (of course) missed the next attempt.

What if:

Jay Cutler was not sooo fragile . . .

Cutler threw a pick with 10 minutes left in the Bears’ game against the Chargers.  To his credit, he hustled back down field and nudged Antoine Cason out of bounds before he could score a TD.

To his discredit, he broke his thumb on the tackle and the Bears sunk like a rock.

What if:

And last but certainly not least. . .

Chaz Schilens did not fall down.

Chaz Schilens slipped and couldn’t catch a 3rd-and-two pass from Carson Palmer against the Lions.  The Raiders pinned the Lions deep, but Stafford led them down the field for the heart-stopping 28-27 win.

If Oakland simply converts that 3rd-and-two, they’re in the playoffs, and Tebow’s out.

What if:

Everybody else who did not make the playoffs didn’t $ucked soo much to be considered for this list . . .

Awwww

Don’t they make make the perfect couple?  In fact, they already look married . . .

Got a caption for this blessed event and picture?

Now that is Football Tough!

Da Bears just may have found themselves a new lineman line-person to protect Cutler!

I really like how Kristin Cavallari takes the angle and cuts off the reporter.

Now that is real in your face football tough!

Perhaps one day she will be able to take over the coveted QB spot!

I can just imagine the official response from the Bears organization regarding that !

We’ll have to see how well she makes a pass before considering her for quarterback.

Toughing it

Nobody has a leg to stand on

Who is the bigger cry baby / jerk?

  • – Jay Cutler?
  • – Chicago Fans?
  • – NFL Fans / players not good enough to be in the title game but strangely good enough to be on twitter?

Despite what I’ve heard some others say, I am not including the Chicago Bears Coaching in on this one. After all, they did have the inspiration to put in the young blood Caleb Hanie who did a half-way  respectable job.
